Licensed Veterinary Technician — Whitesburg Animal Hospital

The Licensed Veterinary Technician role is onsite in Huntsville, AL, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. (36–40 hours). Compensation is $17–$19 per hour. Whitesburg Animal Hospital is a community-focused practice providing comprehensive, personalized pet care, and PetVet Care Centers’ mission is to improve the lives of animals and people. The technician supports hospital operations by providing patient care and service to clients. The work includes examinations and diagnostic procedures, nursing care, assisting with surgery, maintaining records and supplies, and helping ensure safe, humane care throughout each patient’s visit.

What you'll do

• Conduct examinations and diagnostic procedures
• take vital signs and collect samples
• administer medications and vaccines
• assist with examinations and operations
• provide nursing care and monitor patients
• maintain medical records, supplies, and equipment
• communicate patient status to pet owners as directed
• maintain clean and safe patient and operating areas
• support triage, discharge, and release of pets as directed.
