The Civil and Excavation Senior Estimator is an onsite role based in one of BHI’s North Salt Lake, Ogden, or Saint George offices in Utah. The salary is $140,000–$198,000 per year, depending on experience, and is paid weekly. BHI is a general contractor with civil and excavation, facilities and pipeline, construction management, electrical, and communications work. The estimator develops accurate, detailed cost estimates for earthwork and utility projects. By reviewing plans, conducting takeoffs and pricing, assessing site conditions, and collaborating with team members, the role supports project bidding and business activities.

What you'll do

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for earthwork and utility projects
• conduct takeoffs and pricing for earthwork, grading, and underground utility tasks
• evaluate project plans and specifications
• visit project sites to understand conditions and limitations
• collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive estimates.

Why this role

Requires 5–10 years of estimating experience in earthwork, grading, or underground projects and a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent construction experience. Experience with Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Planswift, TBC, Agtek, and Estimate (B2W) is listed.
