Job overview

The Maintenance Worker role is onsite in Norwich, CT, and pays $22.01 per hour. The worker maintains and repairs The Arc Eastern Connecticut’s owned and leased facilities, supporting the organization’s goal of community inclusion and integration for the people it serves. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role performs preventive and emergency repairs, inspections, and upkeep across residential facilities. It helps keep agency locations safe, functional, and compliant with regulatory, fire, OSHA, and health-safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Inspect residential facilities monthly and report progress
• clean gutters
• assist with landscaping
• install and repair appliances
• assemble and move furniture
• perform general unlicensed plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
• repair ceilings, roofs, doors, windows, and lighting
• perform interior and exterior maintenance
• remove snow and ice
• and meet with the Fire Marshal for annual inspections.
