The Afterschool Program Assistant role is onsite in Atlanta, GA, with a temporary part-time schedule of up to 20 hours per week and preferred availability Monday through Thursday, 2:00–6:00 p.m. Pay is $18 per hour; candidates over age 25 who are willing to drive a small bus or van may receive an additional $2 per hour. LaAmistad’s mission is to prepare Latino students and families for success through academic and life-enrichment programs. The assistant supports afterschool tutoring and parent partnership programs by helping prepare and teach courses, developing supplemental learning materials, supporting onsite programming, communicating with parents in English and Spanish, and maintaining program data and documentation.

What you'll do

• Assist in preparing, teaching, and evaluating instructional courses
• develop supplemental teaching materials and practice strategies
• support the afterschool teacher with onsite programming
• assist with English and Spanish parent communications
• collect and enter program data
• respond to stakeholder inquiries
• prepare and distribute program documentation
• update class syllabi and communications as needed.
