The Lead Fiber Splicer role is based in Omaha, NE, with extensive travel to project markets in North Louisiana, Central Alabama, Omaha, and Reno, and travel may reach 100% across the country. This working lead coordinates field splice and test crews while performing fiber splicing and testing. The role supports project delivery by maintaining schedules, safety, documentation, test records, and communication with customers and project teams.

What you'll do

• Lead and perform fiber splicing and testing
• troubleshoot fiber using OTDR and related equipment
• coordinate crews and project schedules
• maintain materials and project records
• document work, billing, hours, and safety
• review test results and as-built packages
• attend customer and utility meetings
• operate bucket trucks and work aloft
• cover on-call shifts.
