Field Service Technician – Controls & Pump Systems

The Field Service Technician – Controls & Pump Systems role is onsite in Greenville, SC, with work primarily at customer sites across the Carolinas and adjacent states. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Tencarva’s municipal and industrial water and wastewater customers. The technician troubleshoots, services, and maintains pump systems and related controls, supports installation and commissioning work, and performs preventive maintenance and repairs. This work helps keep customer pumping and flow-control equipment operating safely and reliably.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, service, and maintain municipal and industrial pump systems
• support pump installation, removal, commissioning/start-up, and site readiness
• diagnose mechanical and electrical issues involving pumps, motors, controls, sensors, VFDs, and panels
• perform motor testing, wiring, panel troubleshooting, and basic control diagnostics
• repair or replace seals, bearings, impellers, wear components, valves, and related parts
• perform laser alignment and precision measurements
• interpret schematics, ladder logic, drawings, manuals, and parts diagrams
• complete preventive maintenance and service documentation
• perform in-shop repairs as needed
• follow safety requirements, including lockout/tagout.
