The Manufacturing Floor Technician – Pipe Prep & Machine Operations role is onsite in Columbus, OH. Pay is $24–$27.50 per hour. The Viking Group’s fabrication environment produces steel pipe components to customer and production specifications. The technician prepares pipe and fittings, operates fabrication equipment, supports welding and automated processes, and checks finished work for accuracy. Safe, reliable production and material handling help keep fabrication and shipment operations moving.

What you'll do

• Operate plasma cutters, saws, threading and grooving machines, grinders, and semi-automatic systems
• cut, groove, thread, grind, and finish steel pipe
• assist with welding support and automated or robotic fabrication
• read work orders and specifications
• inspect materials, welds, and finished parts
• move and stage materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, CombiLift equipment, and overhead cranes
• bundle, label, and prepare goods for shipment
• report equipment or quality concerns
• maintain an orderly workspace and follow PPE, SOP, and lockout/tagout requirements.
