Phlebotomist — Part-Time Specimen Collector

The Phlebotomist and Specimen Collector role is onsite in Worcester, MA, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pay is $19–$24 per hour. Innovative Health is a CLIA-certified toxicology laboratory that supports substance use disorder treatment providers and healthcare practices with testing results for patient care. The collector obtains patient specimens, verifies identity and order details, and preserves specimen integrity through preparation for pickup. Accurate records and communication with client staff and the laboratory help ensure samples are handled according to protocols and reach the lab in proper condition.

What you'll do

• Collect urine and oral fluid specimens, including observed collections when required
• verify patient identity and requisition, label, and test-order accuracy
• maintain chain of custody and specimen integrity
• package and prepare specimens for courier transport
• enter data into the laboratory information system or client portal
• maintain supplies
• communicate about order or specimen issues
• follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection-control standards.
