The Custodian — Leahy Shelter and Resource Center role is onsite in White River Junction, VT. Pay is $22 per hour. The position supports Upper Valley Haven’s shelter and resource center, which serves people and families experiencing housing instability. The custodian maintains clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for guests, clients, staff, and volunteers. Through cleaning, supply monitoring, seasonal grounds work, and reporting maintenance needs, the role supports the facility’s daily operations and the Haven’s commitment to dignity and hospitality.

What you'll do

• Clean and sanitize shelter, office, restroom, and common areas
• sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and maintain floors and surfaces
• remove trash and recycling
• restock supplies and monitor inventory
• perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including snow removal
• identify and report facility maintenance needs
• support the Maintenance Coordinator and facility operations
• help maintain a welcoming and respectful environment.
