Information Systems Security Officer

Job overview

The Information Systems Security Officer role is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. Pay is $61–$71.45 per hour. The position supports cybersecurity implementation and maintenance for assigned information systems and requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance. Working under the guidance of an Information Systems Security Manager or senior ISSOs, the officer monitors systems, reviews access and data-transfer requests, and maintains security documentation. The role helps identify and report security issues, support remediation, and keep systems prepared for audits and assessments.

What you'll do

• Support cybersecurity implementation and maintenance
• review data-transfer requests and security controls
• assist with user access requests and role-based access policies
• conduct continuous monitoring, log reviews, and system audits
• maintain security plans and authorization documentation
• track POA&Ms
• report security issues and anomalies
• collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Industrial Security
• support inspections, audits, and assessments.
