The Union Maintenance Assistant is an onsite, full-time role in Santa Ana, CA, with a Monday–Friday day schedule. Pay is $25.19 per hour, paid weekly. The position supports ABM’s Engineering and Maintenance Department in maintaining building systems, equipment, and common areas. Working under senior engineers and maintenance personnel, the assistant performs routine and preventive maintenance and general facility support. The work helps maintain safe, clean, and efficient facility operations through inspections, work orders, minor repairs, and timely responses to maintenance requests.

What you'll do

• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs, building inspections, preventive maintenance work orders, and minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs
• replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and air filters
• support painting and facility upkeep
• organize maintenance work areas
• transport tools and materials
• assist with room setups, furniture moves, and special events
• respond to maintenance requests
• support grounds and exterior upkeep when required.
