The Quality Assurance Lead Hand (Monitor) role is onsite in Machiasport, ME, with compensation of $18.87–$21.51 per hour. Cooke’s True North Maine operation produces sustainably sourced fish products, and this role supports its quality assurance team. The role carries out daily production-floor quality and food-safety verification, identifies deficiencies, and communicates corrective actions. It also provides first-level guidance to QA Technicians and supports training and compliance so processing operations meet food-safety, product-quality, and customer requirements.

What you'll do

• Conduct daily QA assessments during processing
• complete scheduled environmental swabbing and raw-material temperature verification
• monitor food-safety, GMP, HACCP, BRCGS, BAP, and customer requirements
• follow up on complaints
• participate in root-cause investigations and gather evidence
• identify non-conformances and initiate corrective actions
• conduct monthly and quarterly inspections
• review procedures and coach staff
• provide day-to-day guidance to QA Technicians
• complete weekly floor-level risk assessments and escalate significant issues.
