Caregiver (CNA/HHA)

The Caregiver (CNA/HHA) role is onsite in Michigan City, IN, providing in-home care. Compensation is $15–$17 per hour based on experience and availability. The caregiver supports Senior Helpers clients in Northwest Indiana. The role exists to help clients with daily activities, personal care, companionship, and meal preparation. Regular communication and updates about clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior help support their care and well-being.

What you'll do

• Build relationships through conversation and shared activities
• prepare meals
• assist with walking, dressing, and daily activities
• provide personal care including bathing, grooming, and toileting
• assist with ambulation and transfers
• communicate with seniors, families, and staff
• report completed activities and updates on clients’ condition and behavior. Requires CNA/HHA or at least six months of relevant adult caregiver experience, a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a personal vehicle.
