Red Team Penetration Tester

The Red Team Penetration Tester is an onsite role based in Fredericksburg, VA, with an annual compensation range of $110,000-$150,000. This position supports the cybersecurity department at SimVentions, Inc., a company recognized for its commitment to technical excellence and support for U.S. military solutions. This role exists to conduct offensive cybersecurity operations and penetration testing for U.S. Government and Department of Defense systems. The incumbent will collaborate with Blue Team and cybersecurity professionals to identify security vulnerabilities, debug software, and enhance the overall cyber posture of critical infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Debug and reverse engineer software
• analyze system logs
• program and debug scripts
• recommend software modifications to mitigate vulnerabilities
• operate and administrate computer systems
• identify security flaws in source code
• implement NSA-approved encryption
• apply DISA STIGs
• perform static source code analysis
• contribute to technical documentation.
