Lead Tower Technician

The Lead Tower Technician role is onsite in Whitesboro, NY, and is intended for local candidates in the Utica, Yorkville, or Whitesboro area. Compensation is $26–$28 per hour. The technician works as second in command on a three- or four-person tower crew supporting KMM Telecommunications’ wireless infrastructure work. The role performs and helps lead installation, inspection, and maintenance of wireless radio and antenna systems on towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures. It also supports ground-based cabling and related scopes, crew safety and quality, close-out documentation, and development of less experienced technicians.

What you'll do

• Install, inspect, and maintain wireless radio and antenna systems on elevated structures
• perform applicable ground-based civil work for cabling, grounding, interconnects, or conduits
• complete work efficiently and on time
• follow and reinforce safety and quality requirements
• identify required materials, tools, and equipment
• assist the crew foreman with site duties and close-out documentation
• help train less experienced technicians
• and maintain equipment and vehicles.
