What you'll do

• Receive imaging exam requests and obtain precertification when needed
• gather pertinent medical history and medical-necessity information for radiologist protocol review
• verify orders and communicate recommended changes to clinical teams
• provide exam preparation instructions and patient education
• screen for contraindications
• schedule appointments
• coordinate outside imaging appointments and follow up
• triage calls
• request outside records
• use electronic systems
• support onboarding
• maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
