Job overview

The Cook role is onsite in Paducah, KY, with a Monday–Friday schedule and every other weekend required. Compensation is not specified. The Neighborhood at Paducah is a Phoenix Senior Living community, and the cook reports to the Food and Beverage Director. The cook prepares and serves meals that meet the community’s quality, quantity, schedule, and hospitality standards. The role supports residents’ dining needs through menu-based preparation, special diets, safe food handling, sanitation, and accurate service records.

What you'll do

• Prepare and serve meals using posted menus and standardized recipes
• prepare special dietary and texture-modified foods as directed
• organize work to meet production and service requirements
• monitor food temperature, taste, and quality
• maintain sanitary work areas and operate dishwashing equipment
• review resident diet information
• record food, equipment, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures and production quantities
• maintain resident confidentiality.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED required; culinary apprenticeship or training preferred. One year of related food preparation experience is required. Must maintain or be able to obtain SERV Safe certification.
