What you'll do

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures
• perform venipuncture and blood collection
• handle and restrain animals safely
• collect and prepare laboratory samples
• administer medications as directed
• monitor animals before, during, and after procedures
• maintain medical records
• assist with vaccinations and diagnostic testing
• prepare and sanitize treatment areas
• report changes in animal health.
