Job overview

The Electronics Technician 4 role is onsite in Washington, DC. Compensation is $36–$60 per hour. The technician joins M.C. Dean’s Security and Electronic Systems business unit, which designs, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security systems for federal, local, and commercial customers. The technician leads installation and commissioning work, maintains and troubleshoots security systems, and coordinates project execution. The role supports secure customer environments by ensuring systems are installed, tested, documented, and maintained to project requirements.

What you'll do

• Install and maintain electronic security systems
• perform preventive maintenance, inspections, evaluations, and inventory
• lead complex installation projects and safety talks
• program and install access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV head-end equipment
• troubleshoot systems and hardware
• lead onsite commissioning and testing
• document project progress, reports, and RFIs
• manage project schedules and labor hours
• guide and mentor technicians.
