What you'll do

• Take dental radiographs, patient histories, and vital signs
• assist dentists during treatments
• follow infection-control protocols and sterilize instruments
• provide oral-care instructions under dentist or hygienist direction
• prepare patients and treatment rooms
• maintain records and electronic medical records
• clean operatories
• perform RDA functions allowed by the Dental Board of California, including listed extended functions such as direct restorations, sealants, and impressions
• maintain California licensure.
