Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer position is onsite at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. Compensation is $175,000–$200,000 per year. The role supports spacecraft, payload, instrument, and technology-demonstration electrical subsystems at NASA Ames. The engineer designs, analyzes, integrates, tests, and manages electrical subsystems for space applications. The work defines architectures and interfaces, verifies system performance, and coordinates with other engineering disciplines and mission partners to meet project requirements.

What you'll do

• Design, analyze, integrate, test, and manage electrical subsystems for spacecraft, payloads, instruments, and technology demonstrations
• define system architecture and electrical block diagrams
• design power, avionics, grounding, isolation, signals, inhibits, and safety elements
• develop budgets, circuits, PCB layouts, parts selections, harnesses, analyses, and ground support equipment
• review schematics and drawings
• assess EEE parts for space and radiation environments
• define and verify interfaces
• write and perform test procedures
• prepare review products and reports
• coordinate tasks, schedules, and technical interfaces.
