IPM Supervisor

Job overview

The IPM Supervisor role is onsite in Watsonville, CA, with anticipated pay of $33 per hour. Ohalo develops plant varieties and breeding systems intended to help farmers grow more food with fewer natural resources. The supervisor leads integrated pest management across controlled-environment production and adjacent outdoor fields, protecting breeding trials, plant production, and germplasm. The role combines scouting, biological and targeted chemical controls, compliance, and crew leadership to manage pest, disease, and weed pressure.

What you'll do

• Lead greenhouse scouting, trap monitoring, and early pest and disease identification
• extend scouting and treatment to outdoor fields as needed
• run biological control programs and targeted chemical treatments as needed
• enforce hygiene, sanitation, exclusion, and quarantine protocols
• manage pesticide and fungicide applications and resistance management
• maintain regulatory compliance and records
• supervise and train the IPM/scouting crew
• manage supplier relationships, budget, and equipment.
