Lift Operator — Winter 2026/27

Job overview

The Lift Operator role is onsite in Anchorage, AK, with compensation of $15 per hour. Hilltop Ski Area’s lift operators support mountain operations and guest service; employee housing and public transportation are not available. The operator runs ski lifts safely and efficiently, helps guests board and unload, and maintains orderly lift lines and safe lift areas. The role contributes to a positive guest experience through safety awareness, communication, inspections, and adherence to operating procedures.

What you'll do

• Operate ski lifts according to ANSI B-77 and established procedures, including opening, downloading, and last-chair protocols
• greet guests and provide loading and unloading instructions
• inspect and monitor lifts and report problems
• keep lift areas clear of snow, ice, and hazards
• manage lift-line flow
• complete required paperwork
• participate in evacuation training and assist in evacuations if needed
• communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
