Finishing Team Lead

The Finishing Team Lead role is onsite in Mooresville, NC, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with occasional weekends, overtime, and holidays as scheduled. Compensation is not specified. Composite Factory manufactures advanced composite structures for aerospace, aviation, defense, and medical industries. The lead supports the Project Lead in coordinating finishing production, training team members, and maintaining quality, safety, and production goals. The role helps ensure project work follows established procedures and is completed efficiently.

What you'll do

• Assist with new-part rollouts and training
• coach and supervise team members
• coordinate daily operations
• support inventory control and waste reduction
• monitor material use and report scrap
• ensure adherence to finishing practices and SOPs
• maintain production documentation
• support part-quality checks and resolve quality issues
• maintain an organized workspace
• reinforce PPE and safety requirements
• provide performance input and suggest efficiency improvements.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of composites lamination experience, and successful completion of respirator medical evaluation and fit-testing requirements. Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident under ITAR requirements.
