The manager leads projects through design and planning, aligning cost, schedule, quality, and constructability with client goals before construction begins. The role coordinates owners, design teams, estimators, subcontractors, and internal partners; manages risks and preconstruction finances; and supports a smooth transition into construction.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute preconstruction work plans
- serve as the primary design-phase contact
- lead preconstruction meetings and coordinate stakeholders
- advise on cost, scheduling, logistics, risk mitigation, coordination, and constructability
- align designs with owner objectives and approved budgets
- support Target Value Design, Lean practices, and Choosing by Advantages
- identify risks and mitigation strategies
- monitor design milestones and communicate cost, schedule, or scope impacts
- coordinate transition to construction
- track budgets and forecast costs
- coordinate payment applications and scope-change documentation
- support subcontractor engagement, design-assist and design-build packages, public bidding, proposals, interviews, standards, and process improvements.

Why this role
