What you'll do

• Accurately enter patient information into the laboratory system
• check requests and escalate unclear or compromised samples
• process and route specimens, including STAT requests
• answer calls and respond to testing-status inquiries
• assist with media, reagent, and glassware preparation when requested
• maintain logs and records
• distribute reports
• keep work areas clean and stocked
• orient and train laboratory assistants
• report equipment or workflow problems.
