Through assessment, safety planning, referrals, and coordination with involved parties, the role helps address immediate crises and support appropriate care.

What you'll do

• Respond to crisis calls and determine whether phone or onsite intervention is needed
• assess crisis severity and urgency
• de-escalate immediate reactions and develop safety plans
• provide supportive listening, information, and referrals
• conduct suicide assessments at local detention facilities
• coordinate county-funded services and emergency psychiatric inpatient authorizations
• assess and refer individuals to crisis stabilization
• respond to crime scenes when requested
• complete documentation and required training.
