The CNC Lathe Machinist – 1st Shift role is onsite in Elgin, IL, Monday–Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pay is $28–$32 per hour. The role is with a manufacturing company producing precision components. What you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning centers
- configure tooling, workholding, offsets, and program adjustments
- read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- adjust offsets and tooling to maintain quality and tolerances
- monitor processes and troubleshoot issues
- maintain production and quality documentation
- follow safety and quality procedures.
