CNC Laser/Punch Operator, AM and PM Shifts

The CNC Laser/Punch Operator role is onsite in Deep River, CT. Pay is $20–$28 per hour. Chapco Incorporated provides contract manufacturing, metal fabrication, and assembly services. The operator sets up and runs CNC laser-cutting and laser/punch combination machines, preparing parts for the next department while meeting production, quality, and safety requirements. The role also supports other shop tasks as needed and maintains accurate production information.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC laser-cutting and laser/punch combination machines
• enter ERP data
• separate cut parts from skeletons and stack them for movement
• use hand and power tools and measuring equipment
• deburr parts
• read blueprints
• ensure products meet quality standards
• submit first pieces to quality assurance
• follow safety rules and maintain a clean work area
• support other shop tasks as needed.

Why this role

AM shift is 6 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and offers every other weekend off; PM shift is 3:30 p.m.–2 a.m. and offers every weekend off. The posting describes four-day weekends every other week for the AM assignment and three days off every weekend for the PM assignment.
