Backup Community-Based Doula

The Backup Community-Based Doula role is onsite in Chicago, Illinois, with remote phone coaching and birth support provided in person or virtually when needed. Compensation is $23–$24 per hour when called in, plus $25 per on-call day and an additional $25 for each New Moms-approved holiday. New Moms supports young mothers and families through housing, job training, and family support programs. The doula supports healthy pregnancies, breastfeeding, and trusting relationships with families before, during, and after birth. The role provides non-clinical labor and delivery support, coaching, and service documentation for participants in Chicago and western suburbs programs.

What you'll do

• Provide non-clinical support during labor and delivery
• remain available for phone coaching and attend births in person or virtually when needed
• document services in participant files and case-management systems
• participate in the New Moms Coaching Model
• maintain doula certification if applicable.
