Senior Structural Engineer

Job overview

The Senior Structural Engineer role is onsite in Saint Paul, MN. Compensation is $100,000–$120,000 per year. The engineer works as an integrated member of EAPC’s multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and drafting technicians. The role provides structural engineering design and technical oversight for new buildings and renovations. It contributes to project delivery through design coordination, construction administration, staff mentorship, and support for project budgets, schedules, and proposals.

What you'll do

• Provide structural design, detailing, and calculations for new buildings, additions, and renovations
• coordinate designs with other disciplines
• write and edit structural specifications
• conduct structural investigations and feasibility studies and prepare reports and cost estimates
• mentor and train EIT-level staff
• direct CAD/Revit specialists
• review shop drawings, respond to contractor RFIs and questions, and conduct site visits
• assist with budgets, schedules, project scopes, deliverables, fees, and proposals.

Why this role

Requires a civil engineering bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited university, Professional Engineer registration, and at least eight years of relevant design experience. Must be able to sign and stamp work and review and stamp others’ work.
