What you'll do

• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems
• examine vehicles to identify damage or malfunctions
• repair and adjust brakes
• inspect vehicle systems using checklists
• discuss vehicle problems and repair needs with customers
• perform routine maintenance and tune-ups
• repair air-conditioning, heating, cooling, and electrical systems
• test and adjust repaired systems
• review work orders
• rebuild faulty assemblies.
