Municipal Planner

Job overview

The Municipal Planner role is an onsite position in Toms River, NJ, with an expected salary range of $95,000–$115,000 annually. Ardurra’s planning work supports municipal and regional planning, land use, zoning, and community development projects. The planner prepares and reviews planning studies, reports, applications, plans, and ordinances; advises municipal clients; and supports public meetings and hearings. The work helps municipalities evaluate development proposals and address community planning needs.

What you'll do

• Represent clients and attend evening meetings
• draft development review letters
• prepare and update comprehensive plans, master plans, reexamination reports, Housing Element and Fair Share Plans, redevelopment investigations, and ordinances
• review zoning amendments and rezoning
• conduct research for municipal clients.
