Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern role is primarily in person in Columbus, OH, from May through August 2027. Compensation is $20 per hour. The intern supports George J. Igel & Co.’s Accounting and Finance team, specifically the Accounts Payable team. The role helps process invoices, payments, vendor statements, and related records so the Accounts Payable function can maintain accurate and timely financial operations. Hours are approximately 10–40 per week, agreed upon based on availability and company needs, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

What you'll do

• Assist with processing incoming Accounts Payable mail and email, invoices and approvals, and invoice supporting documentation
• prepare, stuff, and mail weekly check runs
• reconcile vendor statements
• process truck tickets
• follow company policies and procedures
• perform other duties as assigned.
