The Senior Manager, Data Platform Engineering role follows SimpliSafe’s hybrid work model, with two core office days in Boston, MA and the remaining workdays at home or in the office. The target annual base pay range is $171,200–$228,200. The role supports SimpliSafe’s mission of keeping every home secure and its multi-quarter enterprise data platform program. The senior manager leads the team responsible for building, operating, and evolving the data platform, including migration to a modern lakehouse and transition away from legacy infrastructure. The platform provides the foundation for analytics and data science teams and is intended to be operable by SimpliSafe’s own engineers.

What you'll do

• Hire, coach, develop, and manage platform, DevOps, and integration engineers and a Data Architect.
• Own the platform roadmap, environments, deployment patterns, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, ingestion and integration frameworks, reliability and observability, cost and performance, and technical acceptance of implementation-partner work.
• Lead platform and ingestion migration from the legacy estate and coordinate with Data Engineering, Security, Privacy, Infrastructure, Finance, and program leadership.
