The role assists residents with daily living and social activities while supporting their independence. Working under a Med-Tech’s supervision, the assistant also helps maintain residents’ rooms and personal care routines and observes changes in residents’ function or behavior.

What you'll do

• Assist residents with bathing, meals, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, transfers, mobility aids, range-of-motion exercises, and ambulation
• measure intake and output
• collect specimens
• take weights and vital signs
• provide post-mortem care
• follow standard precautions and isolation techniques
• help residents establish daily routines
• observe changes in function or behavior
• tidy rooms and clothing
• and attend staff meetings and in-service programs.
