Truss Manufacturing Technician

Job overview

The Truss Manufacturing Technician role is onsite in Milbank, SD, with base pay of $15–$20 per hour, plus potential piece-rate earnings and performance bonuses. The technician supports production of trusses for Dakota Storage Buildings. The role follows manufacturing orders and prepares lumber and truss components for assembly, helping produce accurate, durable trusses. When truss production is caught up, the technician may assist in other production areas.

What you'll do

• Read and fulfill manufacturing orders
• sort lumber for quality
• set up and operate saws to cut truss pieces
• notch components
• assemble trusses using a press
• inspect materials and finished trusses
• follow safety guidelines and perform routine equipment maintenance
• assist in other production areas when truss production is caught up.
