Academic Coach / Tutor is a hybrid role in Houston, TX, with coaching delivered in person, virtually, or in a combination based on student needs. Compensation is $20 per hour. What you'll do

• Tutor youth in foster care
• support homework, class assignments, and exam preparation
• help students strengthen time management and study habits
• conduct individual sessions in person or virtually and lead in-person group sessions
• travel regularly to assigned sites throughout Houston, Harris County, and surrounding counties
• maintain attendance, progress, and outcome records
• complete required forms and assessments
• participate in scheduled trainings, team meetings, and HAY Center events as needed.

Why this role

The program starts in August when school resumes, with a target start date of August 25. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and candidates with some college coursework will also be considered. Regular travel across the service area is required.
