Senior Firmware Engineer — Access Control

Job overview

Compensation is $120,000–$150,000 per year. The Senior Firmware Engineer — Access Control role is onsite in Broomfield, CO; Wavelynx designs and manufactures open-architecture physical access control hardware and software. The engineer develops and optimizes embedded firmware for current and next-generation access-control products. The role works across hardware, software, and systems engineering to support secure, resilient reader and controller technologies, communications, updates, testing, and field issue resolution.

What you'll do

• Architect, implement, and maintain bare-metal and RTOS firmware for smart-card readers and controllers
• optimize RFID/NFC processing and protocols
• integrate mobile credentials and secure elements
• implement secure communications and firmware updates
• troubleshoot networking and RF issues
• collaborate on schematic review, board bring-up, testing, and power optimization
• drive automated testing and CI/CD
• lead root-cause analysis for field escalations.
