What you'll do

• Prepare, receive, label, and track water samples
• maintain, troubleshoot, and validate equipment
• operate laboratory equipment
• document results in laboratory notebooks and prepare reports
• perform wet chemistry tests, inorganic analysis using ion chromatography, and mercury analysis
• review and create standard operating procedures
• follow chemical handling and waste-disposal procedures
• participate in proficiency testing, audits, and quality assurance activities.
