Steel Mill Forge Operator (GLAMA Driver/Operator) — Rotating 12-Hour Shifts

The Steel Mill Forge Operator (GLAMA Driver/Operator) role is onsite in North Jackson, OH, with pay of $21.75–$22.75 per hour. The schedule rotates between 6 a.m.–6 p.m. and 6 p.m.–6 a.m. shifts on a 5-on/2-off, 5-on/3-off pattern, including weekends. Universal Stainless produces specialty steel products for a range of industries.

What you'll do

• Operate and monitor four VAR furnaces
• load and unload bars using a remote overhead crane
• document bar identification, furnace activity, cycle times, and production data
• monitor cycle adherence and identify furnace performance anomalies
• communicate with Technology, Maintenance, Supervision, and coworkers
• use furnace and measurement equipment
• weld as needed.
