Cardiac Stress Technician

The Cardiac Stress Technician role is onsite in Virginia Beach, VA, with pay of $25–$30 per hour. Bayview Physicians Group provides an outpatient clinical setting for hands-on cardiac care and collaboration with the cardiology team. The technician prepares patients for cardiac stress testing, performs exercise and pharmacologic tests under physician and registered nurse supervision, and monitors patient safety. The role supports diagnostic workflow through ECG monitoring, patient education, and accurate clinical documentation.

What you'll do

• Perform exercise and pharmacologic cardiac stress tests, nuclear and non-nuclear, under physician and registered nurse supervision
• prepare patients and document vital signs
• perform and monitor 12-lead ECGs before, during, and after testing
• review medical records
• apply ambulatory heart monitors and explain their use
• document patient information and test results in the EMR
• educate patients about procedures
• respond to emergencies and assist with BLS when required.
