Senior Living Cook

The Senior Living Cook position is onsite in Winterville, GA. Compensation is $16–$19 per hour. The cook supports food service for residents at Avery Village. The role prepares meals that meet standardized recipes, food-safety requirements, and individualized therapeutic diets. It also maintains kitchen sanitation, dishwashing, food storage, temperature logs, and inventory practices to support safe and consistent resident dining.

What you'll do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and production sheets
• accommodate texture-modified, thickened-liquid, low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, heart-healthy, and allergen-specific diets
• monitor cooking temperatures and portions
• operate and clean dishwashing equipment
• sanitize kitchen surfaces and floors
• manage waste
• receive, label, and store deliveries using FIFO
• record food-storage and holding temperatures
• follow food-service hygiene and safety protocols.
