After-School Program Teacher

The After-School Program Teacher role is onsite in Knoxville, TN, with part-time hours during the school year. Pay is $15.00–$20.25 per hour, based on experience and education. SHADES of Development provides after-school programs in East Tennessee. Teachers lead activities and supervise children in a nurturing group setting, helping support learning, relationship-building, and life skills beyond the school day. The schedule is Monday–Friday: PreK shifts run 12:30–6:00 p.m. and K–5 shifts run 2:00–6:00 p.m.; substitute shifts are available for candidates able to work full shifts at least two days a week.

What you'll do

• Facilitate group activities for children
• plan and organize lessons
• provide supervision and positive behavior guidance
• assist with snack preparation and cleanup
• help set up and break down the daily program.
