Lift Operator

The Lift Operator role is onsite in Keystone, CO, for the winter 2026/2027 season. Starting and expected pay is $20 per hour. The role is part of Vail Resorts’ Lift Experience team, whose mission is to provide guests and employees a seamless experience from maze entrance to lift unloading. The operator safely runs the lift and supports friendly, efficient guest travel on mountain terrain. The role contributes to safe lift operations through passenger monitoring, loading and unloading guidance, equipment readiness, emergency procedures, and coordination with maintenance and dispatch.

What you'll do

• Monitor passenger safety and provide instruction and customer service during lift loading and unloading
• manage lift speed as needed
• operate the lift to meet chair-capacity guidelines
• notify maintenance or dispatch of repair needs
• learn proper equipment operation with Lift Maintenance
• implement emergency procedures, including contacting Patrol
• prepare the lift and set up or disassemble the maze
• maintain a safe and clean work area
• take additional training to support ticket scanning.
