Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) / Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is an onsite, full-time role in Knoxville, TN, scheduled 8:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. four days a week. Compensation is not specified. The position supports Fountain City Family Physicians, a division of Summit Medical Group, an East Tennessee primary care organization. The medical assistant helps physicians deliver patient care by preparing patients and rooms, recording vital signs, performing clinical procedures, and assisting with medications and education. The role also supports patient communications, records, scheduling, and site-level quality improvement.

What you'll do

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures
• record vital signs
• perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and Holter monitoring
• assist physicians with procedures and medication administration
• provide patient education
• handle phone triage, pre-certifications, referrals, and prescription calls as appropriate
• prepare records
• schedule appointments if needed
• maintain exam rooms and common areas
• follow company policies and OSHA and HIPAA guidelines
• and participate in quality improvement activities.
