Compensation is $36–$41 per hour. Service Technician — Mechanical or Software/Controls is a full-time field role based in the Farmington Hills, MI area, with travel to customer sites required. The confidential client designs, builds, installs, and services precision machinery for industrial and automotive production environments. The technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and services advanced machinery, with a focus on either mechanical equipment or software, controls, and automation. The work supports customer operations through technical problem-solving, commissioning, and clear service documentation.

What you'll do

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, service, and support industrial machinery
• diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, or controls issues according to role focus
• perform repairs, adjustments, alignments, and testing
• support startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance
• communicate with customers and internal teams
• interpret technical drawings, manuals, schematics, and work instructions
• document service work and recommended follow-up
• follow safety and customer-site requirements
• assist with internal testing and service projects when not traveling.
