Activities Assistant

Activities Assistant is an onsite, full-time role in Durham, NC, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The stated pay range is $17.40–$19.18 per hour. Senior Community Care of North Carolina PACE provides healthcare and supportive services to people age 55 and older to help them live safely and independently in their homes and communities. The assistant leads or supports recreational activities and helps tailor programming to participants’ interests, needs, and capabilities. The role contributes to participant engagement and care by assisting with activity assessments, implementation, and documentation under the direction of the Activities Director or Recreation Therapist.

What you'll do

• Lead or assist with large-group, small-group, one-to-one, and individual activities such as exercise, arts and crafts, games, current events, and sensory activities
• assist with assessing and reassessing participants’ functional status related to activities
• help develop and implement recreational activities under supervision
• complete assigned activity charting and reporting.
