The Snow Cat Operator, Snow Grooming role is onsite in Hunter, NY. Pay is $21.00–$25.20 per hour. The position supports Vail Resorts’ Snow Cat Operation team in maintaining resort snow trails and ski slopes. The operator uses heavy equipment to groom snow and maintain slope conditions for resort guests. Routine inspections, preventative maintenance, safety practices, and communication with mechanics and other departments help keep equipment available and trails in suitable condition.

What you'll do

• Operate snow and slope grooming equipment, including a snowcat
• maintain the appearance and quality of resort snow trails and ski slopes
• follow mountain safety regulations
• perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• communicate by two-way radio
• report advanced mechanical problems and maintenance needs to shop mechanics
• coordinate with coworkers and other departments.
