The Substitute Teacher, Short- and Long-Term role is onsite at the PGA Campus in Port Saint Lucie, FL. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour. The role supports the Upper School and its Christ-centered classroom environment for students in grades 7–12. The substitute teacher provides instruction and classroom continuity while supporting students’ academic, spiritual, and personal development. The role includes planning and delivering lessons, maintaining a safe and organized classroom, assessing student progress, communicating with families, and collaborating with colleagues and administration.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with grade-level teams on educational goals and curriculum
• design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons
• maintain a welcoming classroom and promote positive behavior
• supervise student safety
• maintain student progress records and use assessments to inform instruction
• communicate with parents
• attend scheduled staff meetings and school activities
• maintain confidentiality.

Why this role

Requires a committed Christian faith, a bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a related field, eligibility for a current Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate, and CPR/First Aid certification. Three years of lead-teacher experience in grades K–12 is preferred.
